The EMEA Central Broking Team is a small unit within Commercial Risk Solutions dedicated to supporting the EMEA network brokers in the design and placement of complex risks and Alternative Risk Transfer solutions. The ultimate responsibility and binding of any deal will lie with the local broker and the Central Team’s involvement will differ according to the requirements of any given client.
We are looking for an experienced person with either broking expertise in any main line of business and/or alternative risk transfer, to join this small team.

What the day will look like
- Understand the Aon United agenda, support it actively and drive attitude change within the business.
- Support Aon UK & EMEA initiatives, contribute to and participate in Aon-wide senior executive groups, committees, ad hoc project teams and other bodies as necessary.
- Continually build Aon IQ and drive this behaviour in the business unit.
- Proactively cross-sell risk management, claims and other Aon products and services to new and existing clients.
- Be a grower, connector and storyteller.
Business Performance
- Work with Aon Retail Colleagues across UK & EMEA to support their placement strategies.
- Collaborative approach to broking strategies including all broking resources within Aon.
- Participate and engage in insurer meetings and strategies.
Client / Network Engagement
- Ensure the Client is at the heart of business propositions and practice and they are treated fairly and ethically.
- Champion the deployment of Client Promise for direct client, ensuring that valid action plans are in place and delivered to agreed timelines.
- Ensure network/clients receive best in class service in a cost-effective manner.
- Client relationship management (direct clients and/or network).
- Providing benchmarking and placement advice to clients.
- Market relationship management.

- Provide technical wording advice to client/network.
Aon Growth Strategy
- Contribute to the development and implement the Aon United Broking strategy by supporting growth through utilisation of specialty, broking, technology and talent levers.
- Support the development of broking business priorities and plans.
- Work with key internal and external partners to identify and secure potential clients.
- Work proactively and collaboratively with business unit leaders on Tenders and other major client opportunities.
- Identify and develop opportunities for cross Aon Limited co-operation and alignments.
- Define marketing strategy.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure all FCA regulations and internal compliance requirements are adhered to in a timely manner.
- Promote all compliance related requirements throughout the area and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Ensure all agreed practices and tools are actively and consistently applied.
- Lead by example by ensuring own activity aligns with regulatory requirements and business procedures.
- Accountable for all colleagues to be actively involved in raising awareness of non-conformances and ideas for improvements.

- Build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best of Aon and that broking resources are brought to clients and prospective clients.

- Coach and mentor where appropriate, individuals across the BU, GBC and the broader Aon business to support personal and professional development in the high-potential population, supporting retention, engagement and succession plan aims.
