We are seeking individuals with deep knowledge of the insurance industry, particularly the London market, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in implementing digital tools, Business Process Mapping, and Product Management principles. Excellent communication skills, creative problem-solving, and the ability to bring teams together are essential. This hybrid role based in London offers flexibility to work from the office and virtually at home.
The Digital Operations Business Partner (DOBP) is a pivotal role within the Aon Global Broking Center (GBC), responsible for driving the digital transformation of our operations. As a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on end-to-end processes, technology requirements, and pilots, the DOBP will play a critical role in implementing and optimising digital tools and platforms. This role will center on key Aon 3x3 projects such as the new Target Operating Model, Aon Policy Link, Aon Broker CoPilot, Digital Placement Exchange for automated underwriting, and connections to external digital market trading platforms like PPL and Whitespace.
What the day will look like
- Strategic Alignment and Digital requirements: Work closely with the COO and GBC Leadership to align digital initiatives with the overall strategy and priorities. Act as Subject Matter Expert for new digital tools with GBC – internally developed as part of Aon 3x3 transformation projects and external. Coordinate with business stakeholders to define and document technology requirements and processes.
- Capabilities and Process Expertise Optimisation and Technology: Develop a deep understanding of Aon GBC core processes including linkages with network of Aon global office and London Market insurers. Map existing (As-Is) and future (To-Be) capabilities and processes to identify opportunities for digital transformation.
- Technology and Data: Link with Aon Technical teams who are driving the design, implementation and integration of new generation digital tools and platforms. Collaborate with external vendors to ensure the successful deployment of technology solutions. Ensure that digital tools and platforms are designed to enhance data quality and accessibility.
- Change Management and Training: Coordinate with Project Managers and Business Analysis assigned to different digital projects. Implement change management plans to support the adoption of new digital tools and processes. Provide training and support to colleagues to ensure effective use of digital platforms.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
- Essential Experience in business project management, with a strong focus on digital transformation.
- Deep knowledge of the insurance industry, including the London insurance market.
- Proven experience in implementing and managing digital tools and platforms.
- Experience in Business Process Mapping, in order to coordinate with BAs assigned to the digital projects.
- Good understanding of Product Management principles and methodologies.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Skilled in creative problem-solving, self-organized, and adept at balancing the big picture with the details that matter.
- Exceptional teammate, adept at bringing different parts of the organisation together to achieve business goals.
Desirable: Good knowledge of the insurance broking processes (submission, quote and bind) in the London Market. Knowledge of core digital initiatives in the London Market (market-wide initiatives and innovative trading/business models launched by insurers).
