Senior Broker – Onshore Renewables

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding, collaborative, and highly successful team that has enjoyed strong growth year-on-year. You’ll support some of our largest onshore renewables, power, and energy clients from around the world.
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our London or Chelmsford offices.

Global Broking Centre in London:
The role sits within the Global Broking Centre (GBC) in London. The GBC is an integral part of Aon’s global broking strategy. The GBC provides colleagues across the Aon network access to specialist brokers and client managers, dedicated client solutions and thought leadership, and significant global insurance capacity.
What the day will look like:
- Client management and broking, serving a worldwide portfolio of clients produced on a wholesale and retail basis, including both renewals and new business.
- Leading impactful renewal strategy meetings (RSMs) and delivering London market insurer roadshows.
- Leading reviews of clients’ risks, preparation of underwriting presentations, and review of insurance documentation.
- Proactively contributing to the portfolio’s growth, developing new relationships, pitching to clients, and leading winning tenders.
- Managing market relationships, developing new ones in support of the Natural Resources broking strategy.
- Working closely with Natural Resources clients to ensure our global best practice is achieved.
- Opportunity for travel, including prospecting and representing Aon by speaking at conferences.
Skills and experience that will lead to success:
- London market experience broking renewables, power, energy, mining, or property.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and experience in layering complex programmes.
- Strong lead/decision-maker underwriter relationships in renewables, energy, and property.
- Outstanding collaboration skills to successfully lead the pursuit of target prospects.
- Masterful relationship-building skills.
- Unparalleled presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate complex messages in written form.
- Being proactive, entrepreneurial, and forward-thinking.
- Excellent understanding of compliance and FCA regulation.
