Aon is currently recruiting a Senior Broker to join our GBC International Property team in London.
This is a strategic senior broking role for an experienced practitioner with deep technical expertise and a proven ability to lead the placement of Aon’s largest and most complex international property programmes.
The International Property team is structured across four regional teams, with this role operating across all geographies.
The individual will be expected to prioritise activity according to business need, provide leadership on strategic placements, and play a central role in delivering consistent, market-leading outcomes for clients and Aon network colleagues.

What the day will look like
As a Senior Broker, key responsibilities will include leading the strategy, execution and delivery of complex international property placements, including:
- Lead client and network relationship management for major international property placements.
- Chair or contribute to strategic client, market and network meetings.
- Lead quote broking and firm order broking for large, complex and high value placements, including PPL, wet stamps and email processes.
- Provide strategic benchmarking, market insight and placement advice to clients and Aon colleagues.
- Establish, manage and prioritise a pipeline of significant property opportunities.
- Produce and deliver tenders, proposals and placement recommendations for major accounts.
- Present terms, market feedback and strategic recommendations to clients and network partners.
- Review, create and enhance complex submissions and MRC documentation to ensure technical accuracy, clarity, market readiness and consistency.
- Manage follow market broking activity to secure capacity and optimise placement outcomes.
- Define and execute placement specific marketing strategies for complex risks.
- Record broking activity accurately in market sheets and maintain strong data discipline throughout the placement process.
- Provide accurate invoicing instructions, issue invoices and support effective post placement handover, including responding to accounting queries.
- Provide technical wording advice, including creation of bespoke clauses and best in class product wordings.
- Provide technical training, guidance, mentoring and coaching to colleagues across the International Property team.
- Undertake file, technical and peer reviews, including ECM maintenance, scanning/indexing and BID documentation, and contribute to the development of team strategy and goals.
Responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.

- Excellent understanding of London insurance market dynamics, placement strategy and core broking processes.
- Extensive technical knowledge of international property risk, with experience handling large and complex placements.
- Demonstrable commercial judgement and the ability to develop market strategies that support client objectives.
- Ability to use insurance industry systems effectively to support accurate, efficient and compliant client delivery.
- Proven experience managing senior client, network and market relationships.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market feedback and recommend practical solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, including the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
- High level of numeracy and attention to detail.
- Sound understanding and application of compliance and FCA regulation.
