We’re hiring! Aon are currently recruiting a Risk Settlement Group Associate Partner to work hybrid for any of our UK offices. Aon is in the business of better decisions. What the day will look like:
- Lead adviser or senior support on a range of settlement transactions across the pension risk transfer market (including buy-ins, buy-outs, wind-ups, longevity swaps, and consolidation/capital solutions), taking ownership for the project delivery and client relationship.
- Advise clients on their strategic ‘Journey to Settlement’, including preparation for approaching the settlement market and feasibility.
- Create strong relationships with external stakeholders such as trustees, sponsors and other transaction advisers to develop settlement opportunities.
- Lead or key support on new business opportunities and initiatives both internally and externally.
- Leverage your knowledge of the settlement market to provide innovative settlement solutions for our clients.
- Lead on marketing initiatives and media engagement, including our annual marketing campaign and our dedicated risk settlement conference.
- Play a role in the growth and leadership of the team.
- Help develop new strategies and propositions within the Risk Settlement Group and implement them on a range of clients.
- Coach, mentor and support direct and indirect reports to create future leaders.

You will hold lead transaction adviser or senior support roles across a significant portfolio of clients, with responsibility for the relationship with clients and stakeholders, including insurers, reinsurers and other transaction advisers. You will also have a broader impact beyond your clients, helping to develop our new business initiatives, our propositions and marketing strategies, leading our innovative market solutions and developing our future leaders.
Skills and experience that will lead to success:
- Ideally certified to provide regulated settlement advice on bulk annuities and/or longevity swaps.
- Track record of leading or co-leading settlement transactions and client relationships.
- Wide industry experience coupled with deep technical capability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivating and ambitious.
- Able to encourage and develop colleagues, and work well within diverse teams.
- Whilst having an eye for detail, also capable in advising at a strategic level.
