Do you have at least three years of experience in the Insurance/Reinsurance Industry within IBA? If so, an exciting opportunity awaits you at Aon! Aon is looking for a Technical Account Representative specialising in Reinsurance to join our team in London. The role is crucial in creating a culture of continuous improvement using process perfection and adding to the broader success of the Broking Sales, Controllership, Client Services, Claims Advocacy, IBA, Fiduciary, Finance and Operations Teams.

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both in our London office and remotely from home and aligns with in country smart working policy.

What the day will look like:

  • As a Reinsurance Technical Account Advocate you will provide support on technical accounting related matters to Aon Reinsurance Colleagues, Clients and Reinsurers, in addition to our Indian, Chelmsford and Leicester Partner Offices.
  • This is an important role, and you will be expected to engage with the different Aon business teams, Controllership, Client Services, IBA, Fiduciary Accounts, Finance and Operations Teams.
  • The ideal candidate will assist in the production and analysis, monitoring and reporting of all financial results. In addition, will deliver regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Production of KPI for Governance Committees such as Business Unit ERM, Exec, Ops, AON UK Ltd Exco and Board, including oversight and tracking of ORTP (third party) Payments, Funding, UCB, Funds Held, Outstanding Cash, Targeted Overdue Proportional Quarterly Treaty Accounts.
  • Supervise the performance of these reports and follow up promptly when needed. This ensures Aon’s Working Capital and Free Cash Flow position reduces according to set targets.
  • Engage with clients and markets on accounting matters and implement resolution strategy.
  • Utilise knowledge to drive strategy and best practice within Aon.
  • Reconcile incoming reinsurer statements from Lloyds Syndicates chasing for payment of premium and co-ordinate with Aon’s Global Offices.
  • Act as a Main Focal Point with these Syndicates. Assist with any escalation points and have regular meetings.
  • Supporting role on Client and Reinsurer Engagements involving Aon’s Key Global Partners to attend meetings.
  • Perform any other ad hoc tasks as defined and agreed upon with the Senior Client Relations Specialist.
  • Responsibility for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies and procedures.
  • Completion of mandatory training and keenness to adopt coaching or mentoring to allow their own professional development.
  • Proficient analytical, numerical and information gathering skills. Determines pertinent information required by management to make effective decisions. Ensures that the gathering, processing, distribution and use of this information occur in a timely, accurate and cost-effective manner.

Build relationships with our Clients, Reinsurers and Global Partner offices.

  • Good solid understanding of Microsoft applications, with focus on high quality Excel AND Powerpoint skills and AI.
