Join a role at the intersection of data, underwriting, and broking with a focus on Warranty & Indemnity (W&I) / Representations & Warranties (R&W) and Tax Contingent insurance. Be part of a team that ensures the accuracy, quality, and insightfulness of data to support senior colleagues, insurers, and internal collaborators. This is a brand-new role in the AMATS team, offering flexibility to work virtually and from the flagship London office.

What the day will look like

  • Manage, cleanse, and validate data associated with M&A insurance, investigating anomalies and maintaining high data-quality standards across systems.
  • Build and maintain insightful dashboards and reports, giving senior broking leaders visibility on performance, pipeline, trends, and key trading metrics.
  • Apply insurance knowledge to correctly structure, classify, and interpret deal data, ensuring accurate reflection of coverage and insurer requirements.
  • Support the design and optimisation of facilities/lineslips, using data to shape pricing bands, participation structures, and reporting packs for insurers.
  • Act as the bridge between data teams and brokers, translating raw data into meaningful insurance language, defining business rules, and guiding enhancements to data models and reporting pipelines.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Advanced data capability — strong Excel (complex formulas, pivots, lookups, Power Query/Pivot) plus experience with tools like Power BI, Tableau, or SQL for high-quality analysis.
  • Data integrity & analytical rigour — comfortable handling large, complex datasets, interrogating data, spotting inconsistencies, and performing thorough sense-checks.
  • Insightful reporting — ability to build dashboards and MI that tell a clear story for senior collaborators, ensuring outputs are meaningful and commercially relevant.
  • Insurance & facilities exposure — ideally experience in M&A insurance, specialty lines, or managing facilities/binders/lineslips.
  • Clear communication & collaboration — able to translate technical data into accessible insurance language, and work effectively with offshore/centralised data teams.
