Based in our flagship London office, this role comes with hybrid working practices.
What the day will look like:
- Leading both strategically but with oversight of the day to day delivery of broking placements - including client and insurer engagement, insurer submissions, delivery of client reports, project managing the underwriting process, and handling policy binding.
- Supervise post transaction handling of invoicing and collating post-deal marketing collateral.
- Lead and manage collaborator relationships (with client and adviser relationships being key to business generation).
- Attend external networking events, conferences, and seminars and contribute to business development efforts.
- Boost understanding of the broader AMATS capabilities to effectively connect with collaborators.
- Assist with proposals/pitches and managing the team's pipeline.
How this opportunity is different:
We support clients across a wide range of transactions including typical buy and sell-side deals, carve-outs, distressed M&A plus secondary market deals. Our mix of deals includes both UK domestic and international transactions covering the full valuation range from the largest, most sophisticated multi-billion deals to sub-£50m transactions. Joining as an Associate you will have significant scope for career progression, in the short term within the transaction solutions team and longer term within the AMATS division. More broadly as a global organisation Aon offers significant career opportunities for its high performing talent both domestically and internationally.
Skills and experience that will lead to success:
- Experience in leading, developing and managing professional and client relationships (internal and/or external) and attending networking events.
- Experience in leading business development initiatives.
- Experience in producing written outputs and strong attention to detail.
- W&I / Tax / or general Transaction Services experience from within Accountancy / Legal / Tax or other analogous industries.
- Knowledge of the London insurance market is beneficial, but not crucial.
- Project management responsibility within current or previous roles.
