We are expanding our crossâregional EMEA Executive Compensation Advisory Consulting team and are seeking a Consultant to join our practice. This role is part of Aon's wider Human Capital Solutions advisory practice. The Executive Compensation team advises clients across key sectors, including life sciences, financial services (including FinTech), technology, retail, healthcare, and energy/renewables. We support clients with "best in class" compensation data, drawn from Aon's Radford McLagan Compensation Database and other proprietary sources.
We are seeking candidates with compensation/reward experience, gained in consulting, multiple inâhouse reward roles, or a mix of both, who can lead large executive compensation surveys and also support broader executive compensation advisory work. The role blends handsâon survey project management (data, analysis results delivery, and client insights) with exposure to executive compensation advisory topics such as pay benchmarking, longâterm incentive design, and Remuneration Committee advisory.
This position places a strong emphasis on the delivery and management of largeâscale executive remuneration surveys throughout EMEA. As survey project manager, you will lead the full survey process, from client engagement and data collection/validation through to inâdepth data analysis, ensuring accuracy and reliability, and presenting highâquality results and insights to clients, including the annual results conference. You will maintain a sharp focus on data accuracy, client needs and objectives, ensuring that survey outputs are both meaningful and actionable.
In addition to survey leadership, you will actively contribute to executive compensation advisory projects, such as executive pay benchmarking, longâterm incentives and equity guidelines, and supporting clients with major milestones (e.g., IPO readiness, ongoing executive pay strategy management).
A typical day will be:
- Lead the endâtoâend delivery of largeâscale executive remuneration surveys for EMEA, including client management, survey administration (processes and systems), data collection, validation, analysis and results delivery.
- Analyse complex compensation data, ensuring high standards of data quality, and compile clear, highâquality survey results, reports, and insights tailored to client needs.
- Prepare and coâpresent survey findings and actionable insights to clients, adapting content and style for varied rewards and HR audiences.
- Remain focused on data accuracy, project timelines and overall survey deadlines, integrating project management best practices to deliver client satisfaction and value.
- Lead a team of 1â2 analysts in the India centre, ensuring seamless collaboration and good survey execution, owning their learning, development and performance, building team capability, and transitioning knowledge to enable them to run the survey from next year onwards with minimal guidance/supervision.
- Collaborate with colleagues across EMEA and India centre, sharing knowledge and assisting in the development and training of team members on survey methodology, data analysis, and results delivery.
- Apply subjectâmatter expertise in compensation surveys and processes, trends in cash and longâterm incentives (LTI), and related executive compensation topics.
- Participate in executive compensation advisory projects, supporting clients with projects around pay benchmarking, peer group development, equity guidelines, longâterm incentive design, and business development initiatives.
- Contribute to business development proposals and ongoing thought leadership, including identifying emerging compensation trends, regulatory developments, and market practices.
About You:
- Experience in compensation surveys/reward topics, either in consulting, inâhouse HR/reward roles, or both, with specific exposure to executive compensation, compensation surveys, and equity (shareâbased) plans.
- Strong data analysis skills, commitment to accuracy, and ability to interpret and communicate complex results to diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills building and managing internal and external client relationships.
- Collegiate team player and proven experience of mentoring a team, committed to working with and developing team members.
- Good communication skills â both written and faceâtoâface, ability to simplify and summarise complex information based on client needs.
- Able to manage stakeholder requirements and expectations.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple initiatives.
- Articulate with clients and internal teams providing practical context when communicating technical knowledge of compensation survey findings and executive compensation related topics.
- Ideally (but not essential), an understanding of the life sciences sectors, the current challenges and outlook.
- Professional qualification (Accountant, Actuary, Legal, CFA, other relevant) and degree level education preferred.
