Cyber Broker

Are you passionate about helping clients navigate one of the fastest-evolving risks facing businesses today?

Do you thrive on turning strategic ambitions into tangible commercial growth?

Join Aon’s UK Commercial Risk Cyber Practice as a Cyber Business Development Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of cyber risk solutions across the UK!

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our London office.

In response to the growing demand for, and increasing complexity of, cyber risk, Aon UK Commercial Risk is seeking a motivated and commercially minded Cyber Business Development Manager.

This role will help translate the UK cyber strategy into practical growth activity across Commercial Risk Retail by strengthening pipeline discipline, improving conversion of new and expanded opportunities, deepening collaboration across broking, consulting, claims and sales teams, and ensuring Aon's analytics-led cyber value proposition is consistently brought to clients and prospects.

This is a hands-on, execution-focused role.

The successful candidate will act as the commercial support to the UK Cyber Practice Leader, requiring strong stakeholder management, internal influence, disciplined follow-through, and the ability to turn senior-level growth priorities into coordinated client activity across the UK business.

Aon is in the business of better decisions

At Aon, we shape decisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.

As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive team and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.

  • What the day will look like
  • Support the development and progression of the UK cyber pipeline, identifying new business, cross-sell and growth opportunities across client segments.
  • Drive pipeline tracking, opportunity management and conversion activity to help deliver growth targets.
  • Partner with brokers and client teams to position Aon's cyber solutions and support client engagement activities.
  • Create tailored proposals, presentations and business development materials for clients and prospects.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across broking, consulting, claims and sales teams to deliver joined-up client solutions.
  • Connect UK, industry and global cyber stakeholders to bring the right expertise and capabilities to client opportunities.
  • Promote the use of cyber analytics and data-driven insights to support client strategies and market engagement.
  • Help translate analytical outputs into compelling client narratives that drive growth, retention and improved outcomes.
  • Support the delivery of targeted marketing campaigns, events and business development initiatives aligned to cyber priorities.
  • Contribute to proposition development and maintain high-quality sales materials, credentials and thought leadership content.
  • How this opportunity is different

Cyber is a critical growth area for Aon and a priority across UK Commercial Risk.

This role sits close to the centre of that strategy, supporting the UK Cyber Practice Leader in building a more connected, disciplined and analytics-led growth engine.

The opportunity is differentiated by the breadth of collaboration required: the role will connect client teams, broking, consulting, claims, analytics, wholesale and regional cyber capabilities to deliver more compelling outcomes for clients and stronger commercial performance for Aon.

The role is particularly suited to someone who wants to build deep cyber specialism while developing broader commercial leadership capability.

It offers exposure to senior stakeholders, priority pursuits, proposition development, market-facing campaigns and the operating rhythm of a strategically important UK practice.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Good knowledge of commercial insurance market practices and dynamics; experience in business development, sales enablement, account management or client-facing delivery is desirable.
  • Interest in cyber insurance, cyber risk, digital risk or cyber security; deep technical expertise is not essential, but curiosity and willingness to build specialist knowledge are important.
  • Strong ability to influence colleagues in a matrix environment where success depends on collaboration rather than direct control.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage client service teams, technical specialists and senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organised and delivery focused, with strong attention to detail, follow-through and pipeline discipline.
  • Able to turn strategic priorities into practical actions, sales materials, client campaigns and measurable progress.
  • Professional, collaborative and proactive working style, with integrity and sound judgement.
  • Comfortable using data, analytics and insight to improve client conversations and support better placement outcomes.
