Business Development – Investment Associate Partner

Are you ready to lead within a growing sales environment? This Associate Partner opportunity places you at the heart of our DB Investment sales team, providing you with a pivotal leadership role and the chance to demonstrate and expand your established network to drive new business wins and deliver growth.

The role is varied and offers the opportunity to own and lead high-impact client and market opportunities, drive strategic sales initiatives, and play a visible part in wider Aon activities. This role will be based in London, 3 days a week in the office.

What the day will look like

  • You will take ownership of leading new business opportunities for the DB Sales team, driving the end-to-end sales process from initial client engagement and solution design through to pitch and closure.
  • Drawing on your deep understanding of our investment solutions and your established connections, you will ensure that RFPs and pitches for our most strategically important opportunities are of exceptional quality, highly tailored, and position Aon as a market leader.
  • You will be responsible for initiating and owning key client conversations, leading meetings and presentations, and ensuring that all partners are engaged and aligned throughout the sales journey.
  • You will mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture and supporting their growth.
  • As a senior leader, you will drive engagement with internal stakeholders, cultivate positive relationships, and identify and convert new opportunities across Aon's client base.
  • You will also contribute to the team's efforts in building relationships with Third Party Evaluators and Professional Trustees to support new business generation.
  • Additionally, you will play a key role in broader initiatives as they emerge in the fast‐paced, innovative Investment Business.

  • Significant experience in a sales leadership role, including end-to-end ownership of both large, complex and smaller opportunities, with a consistent record of driving new business wins.
  • Demonstrable ability to lead and influence internal & external stakeholders to create and convert opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a strong executive presence.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, while setting direction in a dynamic, fast‐paced environment.
  • Strategic thinking and a proactive approach to driving improvements in sales processes and client engagement.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to mentor, develop and guide team members.
