We are currently recruiting an experienced insurance broker in London to lead our TV, Film and Contingency Broking team. The Team Leader will be responsible for managing a team, P&L accountability for their book, developing client and network relationships, ensuring a high level of client retention, developing new business opportunities, developing new products and encouraging innovation, coordinating marketing strategy and broking major accounts and lead lines.

What the day will look like
- Business Performance: Delivering financial growth in line with business objectives. Developing and implementing a business plan (including sales plan). Travel to produce and manage a new business pipeline.
- Client / Network Engagement: Develop positive relationships with key stakeholders, in London and the wider Aon retail network. Ensure network/clients receive best in class service. Host and manage client meetings and roadshows. Produce and/or deliver tenders.
- Placement & Systems Management: Encourage usage of our strategic portfolio solutions. Predominantly lead line broking but also follow lines where required. Oversight of File Reviews / Technical Reviews / Peer Reviews Review / Create / Enhance Submission.
- Team / People Leadership: Continually drive focus on colleague Engagement, building action plans into the business plan and increasing the engagement scores across all dimensions. Demonstrate active Succession Planning through market mapping and the movement of high potential talent up through the business. Improve Diversity profile of the business and focus on tangible actions to drive the D&I agenda in the business.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all FCA regulations and internal compliance requirements are adhered to in a timely manner. Promote all compliance related requirements throughout the area and seek opportunities for process improvement. Lead by example by ensuring own activity aligns with regulatory requirements and business procedures (including completion of required training).
Skills and experience that will lead to success:
- Proven experience gained within the insurance industry at either a Broker or Insurer, with established market relationships.
- Technical insurance knowledge across Entertainment and / or Contingency markets.
- Detailed understanding of London insurance market dynamics and core processes.
- Proven capability in effectively leading & developing high performance teams.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent understanding of compliance and FCA regulation.
