The predicted salary is between 70000 - 90000 £ per year.

This role will establish and lead a market‑leading technical claims advocacy capability across all of our lines of business. You will shape the GBC claims technical coverage and complexity claims advocacy agenda – setting the standards, frameworks and training that define how we approach our most challenging claims. You’ll work across business units to build a cohesive coverage strategy, and act as a senior escalation point for complex coverage matters. It will be highly visible, client- and market-facing, and a critical part of how we deliver value to clients and partners.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Bringing together technical coverage expertise across all of our line of business to provide a consistent, high‑quality approach to complex claims.
  • Developing clear frameworks, guidance and tools to strengthen how we prepare, present and defend coverage positions.
  • Building a structured, scalable training model to develop technical claims capability at all levels.
  • Strengthening and leveraging the strong market relationships held across the business.

Skills and experience that will lead to success:

  • Strong technical expertise in insurance coverage, including wordings, endorsements and exclusions across complex, multi‑jurisdictional claims.
  • Ability to interpret coverage, identify key issues and navigate ambiguity across multiple lines of business (e.g. financial lines, property, casualty, energy, construction etc).
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of relevant case law and regulatory developments.
  • Understanding of dispute resolution approaches, including litigation, arbitration and mediation.
  • Proven ability to develop clear, persuasive coverage positions and negotiation strategies.
  • Experience producing high‑quality written output, including position papers and thought leadership.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to partner with senior claims leaders to demonstrate the value of technical advocacy.
  • Experience building practical tools, frameworks and guidance to support consistency and knowledge sharing.
