Client Director/Broker – Global Broking Centre – Marine Hull
We’re Hiring!
Aon’s Global Broking Centre are currently recruiting a Client Director/Broker to join our Marine Hull team based in London.
You will be responsible for the day to day running of the account (client service) in collaboration with other team colleagues, and will include client retention objectives, new business development and co-ordinating and contributing to the marketing and negotiation of business within the Lloyd’s and Company Markets.
This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our London office

What the day will look like
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Client management and broking, serving a worldwide portfolio of clients produced on a wholesale and retail basis, including both renewals and new business, from presenting a winning go-to-market strategy to clients and prospects to handing over placement slips to our support team.
- Leading impactful renewal strategy meetings and delivering London market insurer roadshows that showcase exceptional care to deliver market outperformance for our clients.
- Understanding the Client’s business and insurance requirements and providing technical advice to Clients/Networks.
- Leading reviews of clients risks, preparation of underwriting presentations, and review/tailor MRC’s to ensure that Client’s insurance needs are met with optimum coverage.
- Proactively contributing to the portfolio’s growth, developing new relationships, pitching to clients, and leading winning tenders.
- Managing market relationships, developing new ones in support of the Marine broking strategy.
- Negotiate terms, obtain quotations and place new and renewal business within the London/International markets, including facilities.
- Working closely with Marine clients to ensure our global best practice is achieved.
General:
- The use of PPL and other London market / Aon proprietary systems
- File maintenance and management including marketing sheets
- ECM/critical document/KPI management
- Providing checklists/instructions/calculations to Client Service Delivery and Processing Teams.
Comply with regulatory and other standards as directed by line management, and responsible for working in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework, and compliance with the Aon UK Limited policies, including participation in the management of risks (including completion of mandatory training) that may adversely affect the business, interests or reputation of any Group Company.
The Team
The London GBC Marine Hull team comprises of 14 Client Managers and Brokers with various levels of experience and expertise. The team serves a wide portfolio of clients emanating from within North America, South America, AsiaPacific and Europe, including the Nordics, in collaboration with our Retail networks in key Global hubs. This is an exciting opportunity to join an enthusiastic team, in growth mode, with access to Lloyds, Company markets, and other Aon facilities, to deliver the Marine Hull (re)insurance requirements of our Shipping clients.
