Are you eager to engage in a client-facing Broking position while enhancing your technical insurance skills? Ideally, you'll possess experience in Freight Services Liability or within the Logistics Industry, or at the very least, have a background in direct market broking and the ambition to specialise in a new business class. If this resonates with you, the London GBC Logistics team is seeking a Broker to become part of their team, offering a hybrid role based in London at the Global Broking Centre.

What the day will look like

  • Provide the highest level of service and technical expertise to clients.
  • Working in our Logistics broking team across freight services, 3PL, supply chain and marine liabilities.
  • Attending and promoting Aon’s Global Logistics Practice and the wider Aon group and conferences and events.
  • Negotiation and placement of renewal and new business in a contract certain process with a focus on face-to-face trading.
  • Review and drafting of insurance contracts, and issuing them to clients and insurers.
  • Sign insurance contracts with insurers via electronic placing platforms.
  • Prepare market presentations and broker submissions to broker client’s enquiries to insurers.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with insurance Market and Underwriters.
  • Represent Aon, demonstrating an understanding of corporate objectives.

This is a technically demanding class of business that also requires extensive interaction with insurers. The Logistics team operates as an industry practice group for outsourced logistics and arranges insurance for a wide array of clients, each with unique risk profiles, coverage needs, and policy wording requirements. The team serves all clients within the outsourced/3PL world and is the excellence centre for our colleagues in the rest of the world. The client base is diverse, encompassing multinational corporations as well as some slightly smaller operators. This presents an excellent opportunity to forge a broking career in a client-facing role, while working in a segment of insurance that will enhance your technical expertise.
