We're hiring! Aon is recruiting a Head of Aviation Broking Operations in London, seeking an experienced broker with strong technical and operations skills to support the Aviation executive team and drive revenue growth through data and operational efficiencies. The role involves client‑facing responsibilities and teamwork across teams in a multifaceted global market.

About the Role

Your impact as the leader of Aviation Broking Operations:

  • Working alongside the Aviation Executive group, supports key priorities including budgets, workflows, dashboards and identifies future needs in response to evolving external conditions and risks.
  • Ensure data integrity and compliance to deliver accuracy and consistency across extensive internal and external reporting systems.
  • Challenges the status quo to deliver outstanding service, supporting revenue growth, client needs and relationship development.
  • Acts as a touch point for brokers to provide specialist technical advice and support decision making.
  • Seeks to improve how knowledge and ideas are shared within the broader team while ensuring close collaboration between the Client Services team and Account Executives.
  • Actively develops and mentors junior colleagues to ensure personal development, career progression and adequate future resourcing.
  • Accountable for following the Risk Management Framework of Aon UK Limited and adhering to its policies.
  • This includes being involved in handling risks that could negatively impact the business, interests, or reputation of any Group Company.
  • Completion of mandatory training is required.

About You

Your knowledge and expertise:

  • Confirmed client management / account management experience.
  • Strong proficiency in data management.
  • Knowledge of Aviation (re)insurance exposures, coverage, structure / pricing and market dynamics is crucial.
  • Well‑developed communication skills and confident working with clients and the market in an evolving environment.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to turn data insights into action.
  • Confirmed interpersonal skills to collaborate with collaborators, present findings and guide decision making.
  • Evidenced experience in Aviation operations management.
  • Professional qualifications in insurance, reinsurance or data analytics e.g. CII, CFA, Actuarial certifications.
