About the Role
We are seeking a motivated, student‑focused professional with strong Electrical Installations industry experience to join our Construction Department. In this role, you will:
- Design and deliver engaging Electrical Installations teaching across a range of levels
- Teach both practical and theoretical elements of the curriculum
- Provide high‑quality tutorial support to learners
- Contribute to curriculum development and the ongoing growth of the department
- Complete associated administrative tasks to support teaching, learning, and assessment

This teaching role and course is eligible for levelling up premium payments; you could qualify to receive an extra payment of up to £6,000 per year, after tax. This payment is separate from teachers’ pay. You can claim your payment if you are in your first 5 years of teaching in FE, teach at least 2.5 hours per week and meet the full eligibility criteria.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Relevant and up‑to‑date industry experience within the Electrical Installations or wider Construction sector
- Strong subject knowledge and a minimum Level 3 vocational qualification in Electrical Installations
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate and inspire learners
- Teaching qualifications are welcomed but not always essential—what matters most is your industry expertise and your commitment to helping learners succeed.
