Job Description: Lecturer – Bricklaying Job Type: Full-time Job Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality education in bricklaying techniques to students at various skill levels. Develop and implement engaging lesson plans and curriculum designed to meet the educational needs of students. Assess and evaluate student performance through practical assessments projects and exams. Provide constructive feedback and support to students to enhance their learning experience and ensure skill development. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards trends and practices in bricklaying and construction. Collaborate with colleagues and industry professionals to develop partnerships and enhance course offerings. Participate in faculty meetings professional development and college events as required. Support student recruitment and retention efforts through outreach and engagement activities. Essential Qualifications: Proven qualifications in bricklaying or a related field ideally a minimum of Level 3 NVQ in Bricklaying. Teaching qualification such as a PGCE or equivalent is highly desirable. Strong understanding of education theory and practice particularly in vocational training settings. Desired Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience working in the bricklaying industry showcasing a strong portfolio of skills. Prior teaching or training experience particularly in a further education context will be advantageous. Experience in curriculum development and classroom management is a plus.
