Learning Support Mentor - Construction (Term Time Only)

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to students in construction-related courses, enhancing their learning experience.
• Assist in the development of individualized learning plans to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Organize and conduct classroom activities that foster engagement and practical skill development.
• Monitor and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback to help them improve.
• Create a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to integrate support strategies into the curriculum.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to students, helping them set and achieve academic and personal goals.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attend meetings with educational staff and parents as needed.
• Participate in professional development and training sessions to stay current with best practices in education and mentorship.

Essential Qualifications:

• Relevant qualification in construction or a related field.
• Experience in a learning support role or similar educational environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to relate to learners.
• Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Basic knowledge of the construction industry and a passion for working with students.

Desired Experience:

• Prior experience working in a mentorship or support role within an educational setting.
