We’ve recently welcomed musicMagpie to the AO family, a company that shares our passion for putting customers first, caring about colleagues and making a real difference. Together, we’re set to make an even bigger difference and with that comes exciting opportunities to shape the future of sustainable tech.
This is an exciting opportunity to join musicMagpie as a Product Owner, playing a key role in modernising our warehouse applications and driving measurable operational efficiencies. The role will focus on improving systems that support our end-to-end order fulfilment processes, spanning both inbound and outbound journeys. At musicMagpie, customers trade in their used technology and send their devices to us. These products move through refurbishment, grading, and stock preparation before being made available for resale across our platforms. Once purchased, items are shipped to customers, giving products a new lease of life while supporting a more circular economy.
Here’s What You Can Expect To Be Doing: We’re looking for someone with strong operational understanding who can reduce handling times, streamline workflows, and drive scalable, tech‑led improvements across warehouse operations. You’ll work closely with Operations to map and analyse processes, uncover pain points, and translate insights into clear, prioritised problem statements, while collaborating with Product and Technology teams to shape system‑agnostic solutions.
As the Product Owner for the WMS Product team, you’ll manage and prioritise the backlog, act as the voice of the customer, and guide user story development, sprint planning, and roadmap upkeep. You’ll lead sprint reviews, analyse feedback and operational metrics to identify product needs, and work with developers to refine acceptance criteria, test cases, and definitions of done. This role suits someone who thrives at the intersection of operations, technology, and product strategy, with the ability to theme problems, map journeys, and balance impact, effort, and value.
A Few Things About You:
- Ability to understand complex business problems and identify and interpret business needs.
- Experience working in an operational environment, ideally within warehousing and advanced warehouse management systems.
- Advanced knowledge of agile development methodologies.
- Demonstrated facilitation and influencing skills to drive decision making among stakeholders with diverse perspectives and priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical information in a concise, simple manner for stakeholder understanding.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of agile planning tools (e.g. JIRA, DevOps) preferred.
- Relevant experience expert in a product owner role preferred.
- Product owner certifications (e.g. Certified Scrum Product Owner, SAFe Product Owner Certification) desirable.
