MusicMagpie is a member of the AO family, focused on providing a sustainable, customer-first approach to tech via recycling, refurbishing and reselling devices. As a People Partner, you’ll work with warehousing and head office teams to build capable managers, drive engagement, and implement our people strategy with clarity and care. You’ll also own reporting and analytics, use Excel proficiently, and help optimise our HR systems.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Heads of Department and managers across warehouse and head office to build confidence, capability, and high-performing teams.
- Lead colleague engagement initiatives — surveys, action plans, listening groups, and effective communications.
- Own people reporting and analytics, turning data into actionable insights.
- Support organisational design and change management with clarity and care.
- Guide managers through ER cases, ensuring compliance with UK employment law.
- Improve and streamline people systems to be slicker and easier to use.
- Manage the HR team, building skills, capability and confidence.
A Few Things About You
- HR Business Partner / People Partner or operational HR Manager experience.
- Solid knowledge of UK employment law and experience with employee relations.
- Excel proficiency (pivots, lookups, dashboards, and related skills).
- Experience with systems administration and process improvements.
- Proven track record of boosting colleague engagement.
- Strong communication, confidence and a genuine passion for people.
