We are delighted to launch our Finance Operations Apprenticeship for 2026! Are you eager to kickstart your career and gain valuable experience in the setting of an innovative global law firm? Our dynamic apprenticeship program is designed to provide hands-on experience and mentorship to passionate individuals ready to dive into the world of Finance.
The apprenticeship offers experience within a number of different sub-teams in Belfast Finance Operations, including Accounts Payable & Working Capital. Belfast Finance is part of the A&O Shearman Support Services Centre, founded in 2011 to support the A&O Shearman network. We provide support to offices located in London, the United States, France, Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany. Our approach is marked by a robust dedication to client service, and we adhere to Service Level Agreements, targets, and deadlines to ensure our performance aligns with client expectations.
This is an exciting opportunity with the chance to build relationships and gain first-hand experience of what Finance is like in a law firm setting. The firm, in partnership with University of Ulster, will invest in training to enable you to gain a BSc (Hons) Business Management degree. The apprenticeship is offered as a 3.5 year fixed term contract.
Who we are looking for
Previous relevant experience is not required, but applicants should be team players with a positive attitude and a good work ethic. Applicants must possess a minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade C or above, including English and Mathematics (or equivalent) and 2 A levels in any subject at grade C or above OR an equivalent qualification in any discipline.
