As a Transport Returns Operative, you\’ll play a vital role in maintaining vehicle compliance, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring a smooth end‑of‑day process for our drivers.
- Hours: 40.25 hours per week
- Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (rotational)
- Start/Finish time: 10 am – 10 pm
- Job Type: Full time & permanent contract
Here’s What You Can Expect to Be Doing
- Debrief drivers and inspect returning vehicles for compliance and safety.
- Report defects, damages or safety concerns promptly.
- Communicate effectively with drivers on daily routes and operational issues.
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles as needed.
- Manage returns documentation and perform related administrative tasks.
- Update depot performance statistics and contribute to daily reporting.
A Few Things About You
- An understanding of transport legislation and logistics operations is desirable.
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively to operational challenges.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Competent use of Microsoft Excel.
- Confident in addressing vehicle‑related concerns with drivers constructively.
