We're looking for a confident, experienced HR Advisor to join our team and help us to continue building a brilliant place to work. You'll play a key role in supporting managers and colleagues across the business, especially in our fast-paced warehouse environment, providing trusted advice, driving consistency, and keeping us on the right side of policy and employment law. This is a role for someone who's as comfortable with processes as they are with people. You'll be the first point of contact for HR queries, a coach to our line managers, and play a crucial role in ensuring a seamless colleague experience.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing:

  • Providing expert advice on employee relations, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, wellbeing, and performance.
  • Coaching and supporting managers to handle people matters confidently and consistently.
  • Supporting recruitment, onboarding, and induction alongside the HR & Recruitment Assistant.
  • Ensuring HR policies, procedures, and documentation are legally compliant, up to date, upheld, and clearly communicated.
  • Collaborate with managers to identify training needs and work with the wider People Team to devise and deliver HR-related training.
  • Managing and maintaining accurate colleague records and HR system data.
  • Contribute to key HR projects, from restructures to process improvements.
  • Helping to create clear and consistent colleague communications across multiple channels.
  • Handling confidential information with care, professionalism, and discretion.

A Few Things About You:

  • The role is based on-site at our Hazel Grove site, 5 days a week.
  • Previous experience in a similar HR Advisor role, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - you can build trust, influence others, and manage expectations at all levels.
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills - you can juggle multiple tasks and keep things moving.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a keen eye for detail.
  • Confident using MS Office and HRIS platforms.
  • CIPD qualification (any level) is desirable but not essential - the right mindset and experience are what matter most.

Our Benefits:

By joining musicMagpie, you won't just be working a job - you'll be part of a company that's making a real difference, redefining how people buy and sell tech, and shaping a greener, more sustainable future. Plus, you'll have the chance to learn, grow and innovate alongside a team that's friendly, supportive and always looking ahead! We know that a happy team makes for a great workplace, so we offer amazing perks to support you inside and outside of work:

  • Hybrid working with 3 days in the office per week (you can choose the days!)
  • State-of-the-art facilities with break areas, a pool table, spacious desk areas, kitchen space, and quiet zones for peaceful working.
  • Holiday purchase scheme.
  • Salary sacrifice pension scheme.
  • 10% colleague discount on musicMagpie products.
  • 33 days including bank holiday.
  • 2 days paid leave for volunteering at a charity of your choice.
  • Access to Mental Health First Aiders & Employee Assistance Helpline (EAP).
  • Annual pay review.
  • Your very own welcome pack, including a hoodie!
