Join our Transport Team as a full-time Fleet Engineer and play a key role in enhancing our fleet and systems as our business expands. You will support our core network and 17 sites, collaborating with colleagues to drive continuous improvements and ensure our ongoing success.
Salary: £40,000- £45,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am- 4pm (37.5 hours per week)
Job Type: Full time and permanent contract
Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing:
- Continuously assess the condition and suitability of our fleet.
- Develop, implement, and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) to maintain legal compliance and operational excellence.
- Investigate vehicle failures, identify root causes, and implement preventative solutions to minimise recurrence.
- Support the design and development of future fleet specifications, with a focus on green and sustainable innovations.
- Support and develop relationships with vehicle manufacturers and leasing companies, overseeing the acquisition, leasing, and disposal of assets.
- Lead initiatives to enhance fleet reliability, reduce downtime, and improve overall operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with fleet maintenance protocols, including managing component warranties and resolving invoice queries.
A Few Things About You:
- Extensive knowledge of fleet maintenance best practices.
- Proven technical expertise, ideally within a large fleet operation.
- Strong understanding of transport and vehicle legislation.
- Relevant qualifications in vehicle repair and maintenance (preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
