Anzurra is currently working with a key client, part of an international advisory consultancy, to support the growth of their UK delay and disputes advisory capability. As part of this expansion, they are seeking an experienced planning professional to join a specialist team delivering dispute avoidance, management, and resolution services across a wide range of construction and engineering projects. The role sits within a UK and London-based team, with flexibility to be based from any UK office.
The position will focus on forensic planning, delay analysis, and programme advisory on complex projects, working closely with senior leadership, legal advisors, and clients, while also supporting the development and generation of advisory revenue.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering delay-related advisory services across the full project lifecycle. This includes forensic programme analysis, preparation of delay claims and expert reports, and supporting formal dispute resolution proceedings such as adjudication, arbitration, mediation, and litigation. In addition to technical delivery, the role carries clear responsibility for generating fees and developing delay advisory workstreams. You will be expected to build and maintain your own client relationships, originate new instructions, and manage commissions from instruction through to completion. The role also involves liaising with legal teams, providing expert planning input where required, supporting junior planners, and contributing to wider business development and thought leadership activities. Furthermore, you will join and be a leading member of the disputes and advisory executive management team. This is a senior role offering exposure to high-value, complex matters and the opportunity to take a leadership position on larger commissions.
You will be a planning, project controls, or engineering professional with significant experience in delay analysis and forensic planning within construction or engineering projects. You will be degree qualified in a relevant discipline and professionally accredited or working towards chartership. You will have strong experience producing delay analyses and expert reports, alongside exposure to arbitration, litigation, or other forms of dispute resolution. You will also demonstrate a proven ability to generate fees, develop client relationships, and operate confidently in client-facing environments. You will be commercially minded, technically strong, and comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy.
