I help leaders within the global construction and real estate market secure top tier contract management and legal talent! Anzurra is currently working with a key client part of an international advisory consultancy to support the growth of their UK disputes and advisory capability. As part of this expansion, they are seeking an experienced professional to join a specialist team delivering dispute avoidance, management, and resolution services across a broad range of construction and engineering projects.
Background
The role sits within a UK and London-based team, with flexibility to be based from any UK office. The position will focus on providing quantum analysis and contractual advice on complex projects, working closely with senior leadership and legal advisors, while also supporting the development and generation of client revenue.
Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering dispute-related advisory services across the full project lifecycle. This includes assessing and quantifying contractual claims, preparing expert opinions and reports, and supporting formal dispute resolution proceedings such as adjudication, arbitration, mediation, and litigation. In addition to technical delivery, the role carries clear responsibility for generating fees and developing workstreams. You will be expected to build and maintain your own client relationships, originate new instructions, and manage commissions from instruction through to completion. The position also involves liaising with legal teams, providing expert input where required, supporting junior team members, and contributing to wider business development and thought leadership activities. Furthermore, you will join and be a leading member of the disputes and advisory executive management team. This is a senior role offering exposure to high-value, complex matters and the opportunity to take a leadership position on larger commissions.
Qualifications
You will be a chartered Quantity Surveyor or Engineer with significant experience in contractual claims and dispute resolution. You will be degree qualified and professionally accredited (e.g. MRICS or equivalent), with strong technical report‑writing skills and the ability to manage assignments independently. You will have a proven ability to generate fees and develop client relationships, alongside experience across arbitration, litigation, or other alternative dispute resolution methods. You will be confident in client‑facing environments, commercially minded, and comfortable operating with a high degree of autonomy.
