Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Brent
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: £90-£114 per day
Overview:
Schools across North West London are seeking enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to join their teams. As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment when the regular teacher is absent.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about education and eager to make a difference in the lives of secondary school students. It’s also a fantastic stepping stone for aspiring teachers to gain classroom experience with flexible working arrangements.
Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:
* Effectively manage and supervise students in the classroom during the absence of the regular teacher.
* Follow pre-prepared lesson plans provided by teachers, ensuring students can effectively complete work provided.
* Provide support and guidance to students as needed.
* Implement the school\’s behaviour management policies and procedures.
* Address any disruptions or behavioural issues promptly and effectively.
* Support and promote the school\’s values and ethos.
* Maintain effective communication with teaching staff and school leadership.
* Adapt to different subjects and year groups as required.
* Be flexible in responding to the changing needs of the school.
Requirements of a Cover Supervisor:
* Previous experience working in a school setting or with young people is essential
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A degree in any discipline is preferred.
* Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is an advantage.
* A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards education.
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
