Job Title: Teaching Cover Supervisor Location: Newport Secondary School Salary: £100-110/day anzuk Education is currently looking for a full time Cover Supervisor to support in a mainstream secondary school in Newport. This role is ongoing starting asap with the potential of being extended. The Cover Supervisor role requirements: As a Teaching Cover Supervisor/Cover teacher you will be supporting general cover and will be taking a variety of classes from key stage 3 – key stage 5. You will be responsible for classroom management but lesson plans will be provided. Key Responsibilities: Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment. Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and activities to students, maintaining continuity in their learning. Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a respectful and inclusive atmosphere conducive to learning. Provide support to students as needed, answering questions and offering assistance with tasks. Liaise with teaching staff and department heads to ensure smooth delivery of lessons and continuity of learning. Requirements: A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting is desirable but not essential. Ability to effectively manage classroom behaviour and engage students in learning activities. Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subject areas as required. A positive and proactive attitude towards supporting the educational development of students.
