We have a full-time, permanent position available at our Canterbury plant on Seafield Road, Ashburton. This position operates on a rotating roster, offering an excellent opportunity to enjoy a better work-life balance. The hourly rate will range from $38.00 - $42.00 per hour.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Fitter, you will support the Engineering team by installing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment across the site. Your contribution will help keep our production processes running efficiently, safely, and in line with all regulatory requirements. Our environment is fast-paced and hands-on, so we’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive, and ready to take on a variety of maintenance challenges.
Key Activities
- Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot mechanical equipment and systems
- Perform routine preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
- Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns and urgent repairs
- Ensure all work complies with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
- Work collaboratively with the production and engineering teams
- Accurately document all maintenance work and equipment issues
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with installation of new machinery and equipment when required
