About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Food, Beverage & Agribusiness ("FB&A") International, based in London, the Director, FB&A Europe is responsible to cover and expand relationships with large European MNC clients in the FB&A sectors. You will support the FB&A growth strategy to deliver high returning revenue into ANZ's home markets and international network.
In this role, you will be responsible for growing an existing high profile client portfolio and targeting new-to-bank prospect names in the FB&A sectors. Clients will consist of GRP and catch accounts, ranging from Agri global Commodity Trading Companies to household names with strong brand recognition.
To be successful in this role, you must have a strong credit and effective structuring skills, superior execution, backed by integrity and a commitment to provide first class coverage, products and services to our clients.

What will your day look like?
As a Director - Food, Beverage & Agribusiness Europe, your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Develop strategic end-to-end client relationships and to capture meaningful banking wallet share, maximising returns from client relationships.
- Supporting on the business growth and contributing to the origination and execution of deals.
- Develop clear and detailed understanding of customers including working with Insights team and other product partners, to identify new opportunities and deepening & expanding the existing relationships.
- Identify new prospects together with Risk, Insights and product partners to establish strategies in bringing in new customers in line with the bank's strategy.
- Work closely with the ANZ network globally, drive business opportunities, share best practice and share insight of client strategies across a diverse and complex client group.
- Own and manage communication of client strategy with product partners and the network.
- Support Legal and KYC teams to deliver appropriate documentation as required.
- Close liaison with Research & Analysis/Risk for accurate and current credit exposure and risk management in line with credit approvals policy and procedures.
- Ensure quality of portfolio through sound credit assessment, lending decisions and accurate account management.
- Ongoing vigilance for signs of credit deterioration and early intervention/ escalation.

- Extensive experience within Corporate / Institutional Banking / Relationship Management.
- Solid credit analysis skills.
- Financial modelling skills, high level computer literacy (excel/work etc.).
- Extensive knowledge in banking products and structures, loans, trade finance and global markets.
- Excellent written, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong teamwork orientation essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to present in a concise format.
- Tertiary qualified. Accountancy, Finance, Commerce, Economics or Law an advantage.
