Job Details
- Hours of work – Monday to Friday, 7am – 4pm (42.5 hrs per week)
- Location: Lincoln office
Responsibilities
- Check and correctly load equipment onto installation vans, securing all machines and peripherals to prevent movement or damage using the provided restraint and protective materials.
- Verify that all items logged match those shown on the delivery sheet.
- Communicate any delivery issues to Logistics/Installation Management.
- Provide customer training on the use of equipment being delivered.
- Remove traded‑in equipment from customer premises as instructed, ensuring it has been prepared for transport and all information (including meter readings) is on the collection paperwork.
- Maintain the vehicle, notifying Transport Supervisor/Manager of any defects or problems.
- Carry out daily inspections of lifting equipment (e.g., stair walkers) and ensure van‑based protective equipment is serviceable.
- Obey the Highway Code at all times when driving.
- Record destinations, mileage and fuel used on company forms.
- Adhere to COSHH, Health & Safety Regulations and use them while working in company workshops.
- Attend training courses and meetings as required.
Skills and Experience
- Collaboration and effective communication.
- Working knowledge of EU Driving Regulations and Domestic Working Time Regulations.
- Ability to drive vehicles up to 7.5 t and hold a current Driver CPC with no more than 3 points on licence.
- Minimum age of 25 for company insurance purposes.
- Flexible attitude towards working hours, weekends and overnight stays.
- Physically fit.
- Customer care experience.
