Overview

We’re looking for an AF Coach — essentially a Personal Trainer who will work with us part-time while developing their own client base. This role provides a clear progression pathway: start as an AF Coach on a fixed number of club hours per week, and transition into a fully self-employed Personal Trainer paying rent once your PT business is established.

  • AF Coach commitment: 12.5 hours per week supporting the club.
  • Focus: Run small group classes, deliver gym inductions, and engage with members with the aim of converting interactions into Personal Training clients.
  • Progression: As your PT client base grows, reduce AF Coach hours and transition to full rent-paying PT (typically within 3–4 months).
  • Income model: 100% of your PT income; first-month rent-free, second month at 50% rent; progression to full self-employment as your business grows.
  • Work environment: brand-new, fully equipped Anytime Fitness club with high early membership numbers and growing fast.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging small group classes and gym inductions (part of AF Coach hours).
  • Build strong relationships with members to convert interactions into PT clients.
  • Provide tailored 1-to-1 Personal Training sessions focused on client results.
  • Support retention by ensuring members feel welcomed, motivated, and supported.
  • Represent the club with professionalism, positivity, and energy.
  • Work closely with the club team to grow your PT business.
  • Regular visibility through class delivery and inductions to help secure PT clients faster.

Qualifications

  • REPS/CIMSPA Level 3 (or equivalent) Personal Trainer qualification.
  • Valid public liability insurance.
  • Previous experience delivering PT and/or group sessions.
  • Confident in building rapport and converting leads.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and committed to your own success.
  • Energetic, approachable, and professional.
  • Social media savvy and confident in self-promotion.
