As we continue to expand our quantum computing capabilities, we are growing our engineering team to support the design and deployment of highly integrated quantum computing platforms.
Responsibilities
- Take leadership in the design of superconducting quantum devices and circuits, including resonators, qubits, and couplers, using electromagnetic (EM) simulation tools and circuit modeling.
- Develop and maintain simulation workflows for device layout, parameter sweeps, and performance optimization.
- Translate system-level requirements into device specifications and design rules; maintain and update design-rule databases.
- Compare simulated device performance to experimental results; refine models and iterate on designs accordingly.
- Collaborate with theory and nanofabrication teams to ensure design feasibility and alignment with hardware development goals.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation, simulation reports, and contribute to roadmap planning.
Qualifications
- Ph D (or MSc with equivalent experience) in Physics, Applied Physics, ECE, or related field, with demonstrated expertise in quantum device design and simulation.
- Experience with EM simulation tools and circuit modeling for superconducting devices for quantum computing.
- Familiarity with GDS layout tools and design automation workflows.
- Proficiency in Python or similar languages for simulation scripting and data analysis; familiarity with scientific computing and version control (Git).
- Excellent communication, documentation, and cross-team collaboration skills; solutions-oriented mindset in a fast-moving R&D environment.
