Location: York – office based

Job type: Full-time & permanent - 9 hours between 8AM-6PM (working pattern to be confirmed on employment)

The Role

We are looking for a bright, ambitious and committed person in a role that sits within our Customer Service Team. Ideally the candidate would have 1–2 years office-based experience and skill sets within logistics and supplier-network or technology-enabled business environments. In your first year, you will learn how the business works from the ground up. You will support customers, liaise with suppliers, help coordinate live jobs and problem solve where needed. As the business continues to grow, our systems, tools and processes are becoming more sophisticated. This means the role is well suited to someone who is adaptable and comfortable learning in a fast paced environment.

Who We’re Looking For

  • Essential:
    • Experience working in an office setting and ideally relevant experience in a similar operational, supplier-network or technology-enabled business environment
    • Excellent spoken and written communication skills, with fluent English
    • Strong general IT and software skills
    • Organised, reliable and good attention to detail
    • Practical problem-solving ability
    • Friendly, confident and professional manner
    • Right to work in the UK
  • Useful but not essential:
    • Experience in logistics, waste, operations, customer service, account support or supplier coordination
    • Experience using CRM, booking, workflow or operational management systems

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Speaking with customers and helping resolve queries clearly and professionally
  • Liaising with suppliers and collection partners to ensure jobs are completed successfully
  • Supporting live operational issues and more complex customer requirements
  • Helping coordinate collections and keeping information accurate
  • Using our systems and technology to manage work efficiently
  • Learning how different parts of the business connect, from booking through to completion
