The Opportunity

As Senior Business Value Engineer, Oil & Gas, you will lead value engineering and customer success for strategic Oil & Gas accounts, with an immediate focus on Pre‑Sales Value Engineering as ANYmal X launches. This role is about helping customers move from early interest and evaluation to successful deployment, measurable business value and repeatable expansion. You will work closely with Sales, Solution Architects and Field Engineering to shape strong use cases, build credible business cases and help customers adopt the solution successfully. The role is focused on customer value, stakeholder alignment and project success, not hardware troubleshooting or day‑to‑day field execution. You will act as a trusted advisor to customers and as the voice of the customer internally.

The Market & Our Technology

ANYbotics brings robotics into industrial environments where safety, uptime and operational reliability matter most. Our customers are large asset operators and service providers using our solution for autonomous inspection and monitoring across sectors including oil and gas, chemicals, rail, wind energy, mining and construction. Our offering combines the robot platform, inspection payloads, charging systems, autonomy and software into a complete inspection solution. We have proven both the technology and the customer value through long‑term deployments and are now focused on scaling our products and platform globally.

Your Contributions & Responsibilities

  • Own strategic customer engagement in Oil & Gas: Act as a senior customer‑facing advisor for strategic Oil & Gas accounts, helping define strong use cases and ensuring the solution is tied to clear business value.
  • Support pre‑sales value engineering: Partner with Sales and Solution Architects to build robust ROI models, business cases and deployment concepts that support successful deal progression.
  • Scope deployments: Conduct site evaluations and work with customer stakeholders to ensure proposed deployments align with operational requirements, facility constraints and success criteria.
  • Shape value realisation plans: Help define the project blueprint and Value Realisation Plan, including use cases, applications, milestones and integration pathways needed to deliver measurable impact and create a path to expansion.
  • Guide deployment and adoption: Support customers through deployment and adoption, helping maintain momentum, remove blockers and increase speed to value.
  • Build stakeholder alignment: Build trusted relationships across customer organisations, from site teams and engineers to plant leadership and senior decision‑makers.
  • Bring customer insight back into the business: Work closely with Product, Engineering and Commercial teams to ensure customer feedback, deployment insight and emerging needs are reflected in how we evolve the product and broader offering.
  • Support operational change: Help customers integrate robotics into their operations by aligning technical capability with business processes, stakeholder expectations and long‑term success.

Candidate Requirements

  • Industry background: Significant Pre‑Sales and/or Customer Success experience in Oil & Gas or a closely related industrial environment.
  • Solution experience: Proven track record in selling, scoping or managing complex APM, industrial software, industrial IoT or robotics solutions.
  • Business value focus: Able to build ROI cases and present business value credibly to plant leadership, operational stakeholders and senior decision‑makers.
  • Project leadership: Strong structured project management skills, including success plans, milestone tracking and cross‑functional coordination.
  • Stakeholder management: Comfortable working across Sales, technical teams and enterprise customer stakeholders in complex environments.
  • Communication: Strong communicator who can engage credibly with a wide range of audiences, from site teams and engineers through to executives.
  • Technical credibility: Engineering degree or comparable technical background, with enough technical grounding to work effectively across product, solution and deployment topics.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel approx. 50% of time to customer sites to support strategic alignment and solution success.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with industrial robotics, autonomous inspection or remote operations.
  • Familiarity with APM, industrial software or industrial IoT environments.
