OVERVIEW

We are delighted to be recruiting for an Assistant Manager to support our flagship Sloane Street store the centre of the Anya Hindmarch retail experience. As Assistant Manager, you will work closely with the General Retail Manager to drive commercial performance, deliver exceptional customer service, uphold impeccable brand standards and inspire the team to create a warm, memorable experience for every guest. You will play a hands-on leadership role on the shop floor, coaching selling behaviours, supporting daily operations, and contributing to a positive, high-performance culture.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sales & Commercial Performance
    • Support the General Retail Manager in delivering monthly sales targets and key KPIs.
    • Analyse daily and weekly performance to identify opportunities and support action plans.
    • Drive commercial results through strong product knowledge, conversion focus, and proactive selling.
    • Contribute insights for trade meetings and support weekly performance reviews.
  • Customer Experience Excellence
    • Champion exceptional, personalised service in line with the Anya Hindmarch selling ceremony.
    • Ensure a consistent, luxury customer journey across all touchpoints.
    • Support coaching on high-quality customer engagement, data capture, follow-up and clienteling.
    • Assist with complex customer queries and escalations where needed.
    • Support the promotion of the Village Hall Pop ups & Anya Café to enhance the overall guest experience.
    • Participate in hosting brand tours, VIP visits and partner introductions.
  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Inspire, coach and motivate the Sloane Street team to deliver exceptional performance.
    • Support the onboarding and training of new team members.
    • Deliver daily floor coaching to reinforce service behaviours and product knowledge.
    • Celebrate team achievements and identify areas for development.
    • Support monthly one-to-ones and performance-related discussions with the General Retail Manager.
    • Role-model grooming, professionalism, communication and brand behaviours.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Ensure daily store operations run smoothly, efficiently and in line with company standards.
    • Support opening/closing routines and end-of-day procedures, including cash handling accuracy.
    • Maintain excellent stockroom organisation and ensure product availability.
    • Assist with stock counts, ticketing accuracy and stock integrity.
    • Support team compliance with health & safety, operational policies and loss prevention.
    • Help ensure absence reporting, return-to-work forms and operational documentation are accurate.
    • Assist with till training, ShipStation tasks and operational rollouts when required.
  • Visual Merchandising & Brand Standards
    • Maintain an impeccable level of product presentation and store environment.
    • Support VM execution and ensure guidelines are followed consistently.
    • Ensure high housekeeping standards across both front and back of house.
    • Uphold brand policies including mobile phone rules, professional etiquette, and customer-interaction standards.
    • Contribute to maintaining the visual appeal of the Sloane Street exterior and the wider Anya Village.
  • Cross-Store Support
    • Provide support to other Mainline stores Collection, Labelled, Anya Life and Village Hall where required.
    • Assist with consistency of service, standards, training and operational rhythm across the estate.
    • Build collaborative relationships with other store teams, Bespoke, Café, Operations and Logistics.

  • Experience in a luxury or premium retail leadership role (Supervisor/Assistant Manager level).
  • A strong customer-service mindset with the ability to deliver high-touch experiences.
  • Commercially aware, KPI-confident and results-driven.
  • A warm, engaging communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced flagship environment.
  • Positive, solutions-focused and calm under pressure.
