We are looking for a junior digital designer to join our creative team. The successful candidate will be inventive in their ideas, meticulous in their craft and dedicated to delivering creative, innovative solutions. Working with the creative team you will be generating digital content for the website, digital marketing, online advertising, social media as well as working on varied projects that could include printed projects. The environment is fast paced, fun and extremely creative.
Anya Hindmarch founded her business in London in 1987 and it has since grown into a global brand. Today, it is as known for its luxury, organisation-obsessed accessories as it is for its groundbreaking work in sustainability and its playful experiential retail concepts. Creativity, modern craftsmanship and personalisation sit at the heart of everything Anya Hindmarch does.
Anya Hindmarch is committed to creating responsibly, and constantly strives to innovate to reduce its impact on the earth, while also using its platform to drive education and discussion around sustainability. Testament to this are projects such as I Am A Plastic Bag, The Universal Bag - a unique collaboration with supermarkets to rethink the reusable shopping bag, and Return to Nature, a collection of bags which are intended to biodegrade and compost at the end of their useful life. The work around sustainability continues, paying heed to the mantra, ‘progress, not perfection.’
Anya Hindmarch launched the Village on Pont Street in London’s Chelsea in 2021. This is a community of neighbouring stores and a cafe. Ever evolving, it centres around the Village Hall, which hosts innovative concepts, collaborations and exhibitions, all of which are amplified digitally.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with the wider teams on managing the digital content calendar and ensuring that assets and concepts are delivered on time.
- Create digital assets (static and moving-image) for a range of platforms (email marketing, paid social, social, display advertising, instore, homepages and landing pages).
- Create website assets for the homepage, landing pages, PDP, Café and other content pages on the website.
- Create email designs for CRM programs and coordinate the creation of email templates.
- Design new templates and present new ideas for homepages, landing pages, and email concepts.
- Contributing ideas for upcoming photoshoots; campaign, still life and ecommerce.
- Working on special one-off projects and collaborations.
- Participate in design discussions and give feedback during planning and strategy meetings.
- Presenting your work to key stakeholders in meetings.
- Producing highly creative content in line with brand guidelines, briefs and deadlines.
- Test assets and optimize based on their performance.
- Iterate new designs based on feedback.
- Creating the design and layout for brand collateral, documents and presentations and seeing through to final print.
- Research industry trends to present ideas and concepts for timely digital innovation.
Key Skills
- A strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Software.
- Experience working in a luxury environment.
- Photography retouching and video editing expertise is required.
- Knowledge of different formats for the web, social, email and paid social media.
- A fundamental understanding of our brand attributes and representation.
- An in depth understanding of Customer Experience / UI.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
- A proactive ‘can do’ attitude.
- Experience working in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience working directly with developers to implement designs.
- Expertise with standard digital design tools, for example, Figma.
- Working knowledge of CSS and HTML.
- An understanding for printing matters and knowledge of different formats for printing regarding pixel image, vector graphic, PDF, EPS, RGB, CMYK, TIFF, PNG, and AI.
- Strong knowledge of current digital design best practices and web production techniques.
- Experience with user-centered design, rapid prototyping, and user testing.
- A good understanding of visual design principles.
- Proven digital content skills.
- Experience creating digital assets for a variety of target audiences.
- Strong portfolio showing the breadth of digital design capabilities.
