Artist Seeks Yarn Donations and Volunteers for ‘The Village’ Project
Deadline: 12/20/2025
The Village is a Social Practice art event that celebrates the broad range of people who live in our vibrant community. It is also dedicated to the women of Indy who keep art alive. These events take place at Central, East 38th Street, Southport, and Warren libraries. Participants are making pompoms and attaching them to 13 individual latch hook canvases that combine to create a single 24’x8′ design. I need yarn (any type of yarn will do) and helpers for these events.
When the piece is completed it will be displayed at Central Library. The individual panels will be sold during an online auction and all proceeds go to Arts for Learning Indiana, Big Car Collaborative, and Ivy Tech Art Department, Fall Creek.
If you are interested in donating yarn or would like to help make pompoms, please contact me! No experience necessary.
