Are you an experienced Solar Electrician with a passion for renewable energy? We are seeking reliable and skilled electricians to be responsible for the electrical installation, maintenance, and servicing of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for both residential and commercial properties. This role will play a key part in supporting the UK’s transition to renewable energy by ensuring high-quality, compliant electrical solutions for solar systems.
General Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain solar PV systems, including panels, inverters, and electrical components
- Conduct electrical testing and inspections to ensure system safety and compliance with regulations
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues within solar PV systems
- Work alongside the Solar PV Installers to ensure proper integration of electrical systems with solar panels
- Ensure compliance with UK electrical standards and health & safety regulations (including 18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
- Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues, ensuring best practices are followed
- Maintain accurate records of electrical work, testing, and repairs
Requirements:
- Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation (or equivalent qualification/experience)
- Experience as a qualified electrician, with experience in solar PV installations and electrical systems (Essential)
- Full UK driving licence (Essential)
- Relevant certifications, such as 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671), MCS Installer Certification, ECS/CSCS Card, Working at Height and Manual Handling certifications
- Strong understanding of electrical safety regulations and working at height
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
