Electrician (Solar)
Location: London & South East England
Salary: £45,000-£55,000 or equivalent day rate
These positions are offered either as a contractor or permanent basis, and are not available on a self-employed basis.
Are you an experienced Electrician with an interest in renewable energy? We are seeking reliable and skilled workers to work on solar photovoltaic (PV) systems across various projects.
General Responsibilities
- Install and maintain solar PV systems, including panels, inverters, and electrical components
- Conduct electrical testing and inspections to ensure system safety and compliance with regulations
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues within solar PV systems
- Ensure compliance with UK electrical standards and health & safety regulations
- Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues, ensuring best practices are followed
- Maintain accurate records of electrical work, testing, and repairs
Requirements
- Proven experience as a qualified electrician
- Full valid driving licence and willing to travel
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- ECS Gold Card
- Experience installing solar PV systems would be beneficial
