ANT YAPI UK, as a main contractor, is seeking to recruit a Junior Quantity Surveyor to provide full support to the Pre-Construction and Commercial Teams across various projects.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, or Civil Engineering
  • Knowledge of RIBA Stages
  • Understanding of UK Building Regulations
  • Experience in multidisciplinary coordination
  • Strong time management skills
  • Dedicated and proactive approach to task delivery
  • Understanding of technical detailing and specifications
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF software, AutoCAD, and sketching
  • Understanding of planning and scheduling
  • Understanding of cost planning, budgeting, and cost control
  • Good communication and organisational skills

Responsibilities

Pre-Construction Related

  • Assisting with the tendering process, including quantity take-offs, preparation of subcontract package scope documents, and pricing schedules
  • Reviewing tender documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports received from clients
  • Issuing tender packages to potential subcontractors
  • Carrying out subcontractor tender analysis, evaluations, and comparison schedules, and following up on outstanding issues to finalise package budgets
  • Assisting in the preparation of Construction Management Plans and Logistic Plans
  • Preparing tender submissions in accordance with client tender requirements

Project Related

  • Preparing and submitting interim valuations and applications to the client
  • Reviewing subcontractors’ scopes of work and contractual obligations
  • Reviewing subcontractor valuations and applications, checking progress and completed work quantities, and reporting any outstanding issues to the project management team
  • Reviewing subcontractors’ commercial requests and reporting findings to the project management team
  • Preparing reports and supporting documentation for project submissions
