Scale 4 SCP (9-14) £27,254 - £29,540 per annum (pro rata for part time)

Attractive employer pension contribution

1 x Permanent - 35 hours per week

Location: Valley Leisure Centre but may be required to work at any Council site

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

Responsible for the efficient and effective operation of the fitness suite within the Leisure Centre providing up to date instruction and individually tailored fitness programmes for all users.

Recruitment Process:

The recruitment process will assess the suitability of the candidates against the requirements for the post including the 4 competencies identified in the Competence Framework for Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council.

A reserve list will be created for this post for a 12 month period and if this post becomes available either part time, full time, temporary or permanent within 12 months this will be offered to reserve candidates in order of merit.

Provisional date for the next stage will be week commencing 17 September 2026.

The post you are applying for is a regulated post and therefore you must declare all spent and unspent convictions. A satisfactory AccessNI Enhanced Disclosure with children's barred list check will form part of pre-employment checks.
