Leisure Attendant (Allen Park)

Location: Allen Park Leisure Centre but may be required to work from any Council site or facility within the Borough. This is an onsite-based position and remote working is unavailable.

Contract: 1 x Permanent, 15 hours per week

Salary: Scale 2 (SCP 5 - 6) £25,583 - £25,989 (Pro Rata) Plus 10% flexibility allowance for qualifying shift. Plus 19% employer pension contribution. Subject to Job Evaluation Review.

This role is based at the Allen Park Leisure Centre and may involve working at other council sites or facilities within the Borough.

Main purpose of the job

• Responsible for carrying out duties in all areas of Leisure to ensure a high quality service is provided to all customers.

• To provide a safe, clean and presentable environment for customers.

Recruitment Process

The recruitment process will assess the suitability of the candidates against the requirements for the post including the 4 competencies identified in the Competence Framework for Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council. (A copy of the Competency framework is attached for information)

Closing date for receipt of applications is 26 September 2025 at 12 Noon. Provisional date for the next stage will be week commencing 29 September 2025. A reserve list will be created for this post for a 6 month period and if this post becomes available either part time, full time, temporary or permanent within 6 months this will be offered to reserve candidates in order of merit.
