Location: Based at Antrim Civic Centre but may be required to work in other locations.
Main Purpose of Job:
- To support the Health Safety and Resilience Manager with the delivery of the departmental H&S Business Plan across the Council, including assisting with all matters in relation to health, safety and wellbeing.
- Development, promotion, implementation and review of Health Safety and Wellbeing Procedures and Plan.
- Assisting services to fulfil their duties by providing health and safety advice and guidance.
- Developing, promoting, implementing and reviewing the Council's Emergency Planning and Business Continuity arrangements as laid down in the civil contingencies framework.
- Maintenance of the range of policies, plans and protocols associated with Emergency and Business Continuity planning, response and recovery.
Recruitment Process:
- The recruitment process will assess the suitability of the candidates against the requirements for the post including the 7 competencies identified in the Competence Framework for Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council.
- The process will include an unseen presentation and interview.
- Provisional date for the next stage will be week commencing 26 May 2025.
- Suitable applicants who are not appointed to an immediate vacancy will be placed on a reserve list valid for twelve months and may be offered similar positions (part time/full time, temporary or permanent) in order of merit at the discretion of Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council during that period.
