one year) Plus 19% employer pension contribution 1 x Permanent, 37 hours per week Location: Mossley Mill but may be required to work at any Council site This is an office-based position and remote working is unavailable MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB To assist the Head of Building Control in fulfilling Council’s statutory duties regarding the administration and enforcement of Building Regulations and allied legislation and other associated functions in order to provide an efficient, effective, economic and equitable service.
To ensure that all responsibilities are carried out in an effective and timely manner to meet departmental objectives.

Recruitment Process: The recruitment process will assess the suitability of the candidates against the requirements for the post including the 7 competencies identified in the Competence Framework for Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council.
(A copy of the Competency framework is attached for information) Provisional date for the next stage will be 18 February 2025.
A reserve list will be created for this post for a 12 month period and if this post becomes available either part time, full time, temporary or permanent within 12 months this will be offered to reserve candidates in order of merit.
