Salary: c. £80,000 – £90,000 per annum (DOE)
Days/Hours: 5 days a week, to include some weekends. 1-2 days per week 4am-1pm, and the remaining days 9am - 6pm. (flexibility required)
One of our private clients is recruiting an experienced Senior Private Chef to join their fully staffed private household in Central London (W1). The role is to lead and manage a small kitchen team, overseeing two other chefs, and ensuring the highest standards of cuisine and kitchen operations for the family, with occasional guests and entertaining.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design and execute seasonal menus in line with the family’s preferences and dietary requirements.
- Oversee and manage two chefs, ensuring consistency, creativity and excellence in all dishes served.
- Take full responsibility for kitchen operations, including stock control, sourcing the best local and international ingredients and maintaining impeccable hygiene and organisation.
- Cook and present meals for daily family dining and for formal and informal entertaining.
- Collaborate closely with the household management team to plan events and ensure seamless service.
- Work autonomously while maintaining discretion, professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Private Chef in a high-end household or luxury hospitality environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Exceptional culinary creativity and technical skills, with a deep understanding of seasonal, healthy, and international cuisines.
- Flexibility to work additional hours as required.
- Right to work in the UK.
