A private household in Central London is seeking a highly responsible and experienced Houseman/Chauffeur/Security to provide all-around support, including driving, household maintenance and security. The ideal candidate must be reliable, discreet, and comfortable working in a household with children and pets.
This is a live-in, rota position, shared with one other person, to ensure security/house management duties are met 24/7. The rota can be flexible to suit the two candidates, as long as cover is fairly split 50/50. ie it could be seven days on/seven days off, or 10 days on/10 days off. Accommodation provided only when on duty.
Chauffeur Duties:
- Driving the family, including school drop-offs and pickups for the children
- Transporting principals safely to meetings, events, and social outings
- Ensuring the family vehicle is clean, serviced and well-maintained
Security Duties:
- Providing general security for the house and its occupants
- Monitoring and ensuring the safety of the premises
- Being alert to any security risks and responding accordingly
Houseman & Handyman Duties:
- Performing minor household repairs and general maintenance
- Keeping the house and grounds tidy and in good order
- Assisting with groundsman duties as required
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar live-in role (Houseman/Chauffeur/Security) in an UHNW household. This is essential and non-negotiable.
- Valid UK driving licence with a clean record
- Background in security or personal protection is a plus
- Basic handyman and maintenance skills
- Some knowledge and experience of building management systems
- Pet-friendly and comfortable around children
- Trustworthy, discreet, and professional
- Right to work in the UK
Salary:c. Β£70,000 DOE
Working Hours: Rota eg 7 days on/7 days off. On call 24 hours when on duty.
