Private PA / House Manager (Hybrid)

London & Wiltshire

  • All applicants must have a full driving licence (preferably with own car), live in London, and have Private PA experience.

One of our private clients requires a highly capable and discreet Private PA / House Manager to provide comprehensive lifestyle, household, and family administration support across a principal residence in London and a countryside property.

About the Role

This is a hybrid position combining remote working, London-based support, and regular travel to a Wiltshire property. The successful candidate will assume day-to-day responsibility for household logistics, contractor and staff coordination, family travel, and the smooth operation of multiple residences. The role calls for someone self-sufficient and calm under pressure – a trusted right hand who can take ownership without requiring close direction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Household & Property Management
    • Oversee the smooth running of multiple residential properties
    • Liaise with contractors, tradespeople, household staff, cleaners, and maintenance providers
    • Conduct regular in-person checks at the countryside property
    • Proactively identify and resolve household issues before escalation
    • Maintain organised records of suppliers, warranties, and property documentation
  • Lifestyle & Travel Coordination
    • Organise family travel, holidays, and detailed itineraries
    • Source competitive pricing and manage all bookings efficiently
    • Coordinate changing schedules and last-minute amendments
    • Assist with occasional relocation and international travel logistics
  • Family & Administrative Support
    • Provide ad hoc support for family members as required
    • Manage calendars, appointments, reminders, and day-to-day logistics
    • Handle correspondence, document signing, filing, and general administration
    • Assist with purchasing and ordering household and personal items
  • Financial & Reporting Support
    • Track household expenditure and manage budgets effectively
    • Review staff and operational costs
    • Maintain accurate records, spreadsheets, receipts, and invoices
    • Provide light reporting to an associated family office

Candidate Profile

  • A driver is an essential requirement for this role. Full UK driving licence required; comfortable travelling between locations
  • Must live in London
  • Previous experience as a Private PA, House Manager, or Family Assistant
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented with strong initiative
  • Discreet, trustworthy, and emotionally intelligent
  • Confident managing multiple competing priorities independently
  • Flexible with occasional out-of-hours or ad hoc support
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, and general admin systems
