Governess / Governor

One of our private clients requires a governess or governor to join their private household in West London, supporting three children with their education and after-school routine.
The Role
This is a newly created position within a private family household, offered on an immediate basis. The family have three children - a girl of 10, a girl of 7, and a boy of 5 - who have recently relocated to London. The children are fluent German speakers, and while their English is sufficient for school admission, further development is a key focus of this role.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the children from school pick-up until approximately 6 or 7pm, with exact hours to be confirmed. There is likely to be no requirement to travel during school holidays.
Responsibilities
- Taking responsibility for the children after school each day
- Supporting all three children with homework and schoolwork
- Overseeing the children's educational progress
- Helping to improve the children's spoken and written English
- Liaising with the schools as required
- Managing the usual after-school routines and activities
Requirements
- English as your first language is an essential requirement
- Experience working with children aged 5-10 essential
- Strong educational or governess/governor background
- German language skills a significant advantage, though not essential
